Joggers and Walkers

Health and safety

Health and Safety

Everyone attending is required to mark themselves on the attendance register at the front desk inside the door.

Mobile Phone

Please ensure that there is at least one mobile phone available in the pack you are walking/running with – in case of accidents etc.  If there is an accident – big or small, an incident report needs to be completed at the time.  Please see a committee member if this is required.

Road Safety

Use pedestrian crossings or pedestrian traffic lights to cross the road.

Respiratory Infections

If you have any respiratory infection, please do not come to the club until you are better. If you test positive for Covid, Influenza or RSV after attending a Tuesday or Thursday please contact John directly.

Ladder and Work-at-Height Safety

Members must recognize that balance naturally diminishes with age, which significantly increases the risk of falls. When utilizing ladders for decorating or clubroom preparation, you must be especially cautious, ensure the ladder is positioned on a stable, level surface, wear sturdy, non-slip footwear, maintain three points of contact at all times, and always have a second person present on the ground to steady the ladder and provide assistance.

Security

Your keys are quite safe while we are out exercising because the doors are locked if no one is in the clubrooms.
Important. Please lock your cars and don’t leave any bags or belongings in sight as we do have cars broken into from time to time

Privacy

Photographs of events will be displayed in the Club rooms. If you do not wish your picture to appear in the annual Handbook or on the Club website, please let a Committee member know. Your wishes will be respected.
