Booking Club Facilities

Yvette Williams Track

The Yvette Williams athletics track is a Council-owned facility.  It is open for public use 24-7. Bookings are not required for shared public use.

The only exception to this is when Pakuranga Athletic Club, another group or a school has a confirmed seasonal or casual track booking with Auckland Council.  During these times, the booked group has exclusive rights to the track.  For health and safety reason, casual public users may be asked to vacate the track.

Booking Track Facilities and Equipment

Pakuranga Athletic Club offers a selection of top-quality athletics equipment for hire to schools and community organisations.  Available for events at the Yvette Williams Track, this equipment includes throwing implements, high jump gear, measuring equipment and hurdles.  In addition we offer:

  • Sound system
  • New trackside toilets – to complement the council-provided toilet facility
  • Easy bus access and ample parking 
  • Assistance with set-up and pack-down of athletics events
  • Access to clubrooms as required, including full kitchen, lounge area and toilets/showers
  • Qualified officials(s) to assist as required
  • Coffee van recommendations as required

Costs are as follows:

Exclusive use of the track Free
Equipment hire – primary/intermediate schools $500
Equipment hire – secondary schools and all zone days $600
Sound system $50
Hurdles $50
Council toilets Free
Trackside toilet block $200
Clubrooms $250
Event official $150

To book our facilities:

  1. Contact Auckland Council to reserve the track for your preferred day – https://www.aucklandcouncil.govt.nz/parks-recreation/sports/book-sports-facilities/Pages/casual-booking-applications-sports-facilities.aspx
  2. Once your booking has been confirmed by Auckland Council, please complete the booking form below.
  3. On receipt of your form, we will contact you to confirm your booking.

Booking the Clubrooms

Pakuranga Athletic Club clubrooms, located between 36 and 38 Cascades Road, Pakuranga, are available for hire on both a casual and regular basis.  The clubrooms offer:

  • Seating capacity for up to 120 people
  • Ample toilet, shower and changing room facilities
  • Full kitchen and servery
  • Bar
  • Television – with Sky subscription over winter months
  • Storage space for regular hirers
  • Ample parking
  • Disability access
  • Fabulous views across Lloyd Elsmore Park

Indicative daily costs to hire the clubrooms are:

  • Schools and community groups: $200-$250 plus GST
  • Private hire $500 plus GST

Generous discounts are offered to club members for private hires.

Use of the bar will require a special license.  The cost of this will be passed on to the hirer.
